Keep decisions moving without mixing family keepsakes, ordinary removal items, and materials that require separate disposal.
Zone one: keep
Place tools, keys, records, seasonal items, and anything still under review in a clearly bounded area away from the loading route. Close small parts in containers so they do not migrate into removal piles.
Zone two: approved removal
Use this zone only for items an authorized person has approved. Keep heavy items on the floor, preserve a clear walking path, and avoid stacks that can shift in the heat or during loading.
Zone three: separate handling
Paint, fuel, pesticides, pool chemicals, batteries, oil, cleaners, and unknown liquids do not belong in an ordinary removal pile. Clark County advises residents to use proper household-hazardous-waste options and never pour these materials into storm drains.
Finish with an access check
Move vehicles, unlock side gates, secure pets, and confirm that the path to the loading point stays open. A clean route protects the home and keeps the scope easier to estimate.
Quick checklist
- Keep zone clearly marked
- Removal decisions complete
- Chemicals and unknowns separated
- Sharp tools contained
- Walkway and garage door clear
- Keys and vehicle records protected
